Investigation into the Drowning of Two Indian Citizens at Issyk-Kul Lake

Details of the deaths of two Indian citizens were revealed by the Issyk-Kul Region Police Department. According to the police, on April 21, a report was received at the duty unit of the Issyk-Kul District Police Department that two Indian citizens drowned in the lake while vacationing at the "Blue Issyk-Kul" resort in Cholpon-Ata.

The police initiated an investigation and found that the Indian citizens, 20-year-old A.R. and 19-year-old D.Ch., had come to Issyk-Kul to relax with other foreign students from the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy. Eyewitnesses reported that the two victims dived into the water from a pier and drowned.

The incident has been recorded in the electronic database of the Issyk-Kul District Police Department, and a forensic examination has been appointed. The investigation is ongoing.

It was previously reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations that Indian citizens had drowned in Issyk-Kul.
