Deadly Mudslides Hit Kyrgyzstan, 46 Villages Affected in Multiple Regions

In the Uzgen district of the Osh region, a mudslide occurred, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the agency, on April 25th, after heavy rain, a mudslide occurred in the village of Korsetti. The yard of a residential house and an intra-farm road were flooded.

It is worth noting that since April 20th, 46 villages in the Osh, Batken, Jalal-Abad, and Talas regions have been affected by mudslides. A state of emergency has been declared in the Osh, Jalal-Abad (in the Nookat district), and Talas regions. As a result of the natural disaster, two people have lost their lives: a man whose car was swept away by a mudflow and a teenager who tragically passed away after being struck by lightning.
