President Japarov Unveils Plan for "Three Peaks" Ski Resort in Kyrgyzstan

The President held a working meeting dedicated to the presentation of the development plan for the "Three Peaks" cluster. Sadyr Japarov informed about the key directions, advantages, as well as the implementation timelines and profitability of the ski project.

The General Director of the French company S3V (Société de Trois Vallees), Pascal de Thiersan, stated that the "Three Peaks" cluster could become the largest ski resort in Central Asia. The project covers three mountain peaks in the Issyk-Kul region: Jyrgalan, Ak-Bulak, and Boz-Uchuk. According to the plan, ski slopes totaling about 200 kilometers will be built in these areas.

It is expected that after the project is implemented, 4,800 jobs will be created. The amount of tax revenues will reach 146 million euros. The resorts will operate for 10 months a year, accommodating up to 850,000 tourists.

During the first stage of cluster construction, 60 kilometers of ski slopes and six cable cars will be built. The planned work is set to be completed by the end of 2026 and will require investments totaling 165 million euros.

For the convenience of tourists, a comprehensive infrastructure will be developed, including hotels, restaurants, ethno-villages, conference halls, and other recreational areas.

The President emphasized the importance of implementing the ski cluster and instructed to carry out the necessary work to study all issues requiring state participation. He highlighted that Kyrgyzstan's unique nature and tourism potential should be the key drivers of economic development. The "Three Peaks" cluster could be a significant project in the development of tourism and the regional economy, opening up new prospects for attracting both local and international investments.
