Earthquake Strikes Kyrgyzstan, No Casualties Reported

The Ministry of Emergency Situations (МЧС) reported that a 2.5 magnitude earthquake struck Kyrgyzstan. According to the Seismology Institute, the earthquake occurred on May 2nd at 1:17 local time, registering a magnitude of 2.5 on the MSK-64 scale.

The tremors of the earthquake were felt in the village of Bedel in the Jeti-Oguz district of the Issyk-Kul region, located 98 kilometers south of the Kumtor Gold Company and 174 kilometers southwest of Karakol.

Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or damage so far, based on preliminary information.
