A 48-year-old local resident was identified as the driver of the truck involved in the tragic accident that injured 29 children in the Suzak district during a festive event. This information was provided by Nurdin Dzheentaev, the press secretary of the Jalal-Abad region's Department of Internal Affairs.

The incident occurred today on May 2, at around 13:30. According to Dzheentaev, the resident of the village of Zherge-Tal parked his Hyundai Porter near the area where the children were performing. The driver intended to distribute ice cream to the children during the event. Unfortunately, the vehicle rolled downhill on its own and struck the crowd of children while they were performing. Despite the driver's attempts to stop the car, it tragically collided with the children before coming to a halt by hitting a tent.

The authorities have categorized the incident as an accident. Necessary examinations have been scheduled, and the legal implications will be determined based on the findings.

Earlier reports had indicated that in the Jailoo of the village of Zherge-Tal in the Suzak district of the Jalal-Abad region, a truck had collided with a group of children who were reciting passages from the epic "Manas."
