Earthquake rocks Issyk-Kul region with magnitude 4.5, no casualties reported.

An earthquake occurred in the Issyk-Kul region, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the Seismology Institute, on May 6 at 10:12, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 on the MSK-64 scale was recorded in Kazakhstan.

The epicenter was located 30 kilometers northeast of the village of Kyzyl-Zhar in the Ak-Suu district and 80 kilometers northeast of Karakol (Issyk-Kul region).

The tremors up to 3 on the Richter scale were felt in the villages of Jyrgalan, Kyzyl-Zhar, Ak-Bulun, Ak-Bulak, Ak-Chiy, Novovoznesenovka, Boz-Uchuk of the Ak-Suu district, in the village of Sary-Tologoy in the Tyup district, up to 2.5 in the villages of Sary-Kamysh, Teploklyuchenka, Chon-Tash, Bayzak of the Ak-Suu district, and in the villages of Toktoy, Ken-Suu, Kachybek, Otradnoye, Tasma, Aral of the Tyup district.

According to preliminary information, there were no damages or casualties reported.
