Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) has provided financial assistance to help eliminate the consequences of a major flood in Kazakhstan, the largest in the last 80 years. The bank's press service announced that they have allocated $1 million to support the regions affected by the natural disaster.

Nikolay Podguzov, the Chairman of the Management Board of EDB, emphasized the significance of the situation in Kazakhstan, stating, "Recognizing the importance of the situation in Kazakhstan, we have allocated $1 million in financial assistance to support the regions affected by the flooding."

In addition to the financial aid, the Eurasian Development Bank has decided to hold its annual meeting and business forum in 2024 in a shortened format, eliminating image-building events.

Kazakhstan has faced its largest natural disaster in the last 80 years due to the spring floods, affecting around 10 regions of the country. More than 100,000 people have been evacuated from the flooded areas, with over 3,700 residential houses and 400 yards submerged under water.
