Tragic news struck the town of Shakhrisabz in Uzbekistan as sambist Tura Avlakulov was shot with a homemade weapon on March 29th. Succumbing to his injuries two days later in the hospital, the incident was reported by the spokesperson of the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan, Khayot Shamsutdinov.

According to the General Prosecutor's Office, the events unfolded when a resident of the "Kushkhona" neighborhood in Shakhrisabz, U.Sh., met with his acquaintance R.Sh. at a café named "Lola" around 3:00 PM. After spending time there, they headed to the "Sinabog" neighborhood where they encountered Tura Avlakulov.

The three men later went to have a meal and drinks at the canteen of the "Safarov Ubaydulla" enterprise in the "Okdaryo" neighborhood. A dispute arose when U.Sh. claimed to have given 50,000 som to Avlakulov earlier and expected him to cover the bill. Avlakulov returned the money, refusing to pay for the entire dinner, which angered U.Sh.

In a fit of rage, U.Sh. left the table, retrieved a homemade pistol from his car, pointed it at Avlakulov's head, and fired a shot before fleeing the scene. Avlakulov was rushed to the emergency department of the Shakhrisabz city medical center.

U.Sh., attempting to flee, was apprehended by law enforcement officers 500 meters away from the crime scene. Medical reports indicated severe head injuries for Avlakulov, with metal and bone fragments inside the skull, a fractured frontal bone on the left side, and bruising on the left brow, categorizing his condition as critical.

The Shakhrisabz District Prosecutor's Office initiated criminal proceedings against U.Sh. on March 30th for attempted premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances, using a dangerous method jeopardizing the lives of others out of hooligan motives, as per the Uzbekistan Criminal Code.

Under Article 221 of the Uzbekistan Criminal Procedure Code, he was detained, and the investigation is ongoing.
