Tashkent Mayor Allocates 824.9 Million Soums for Development Projects

The Mayor of Tashkent, Shavkat Umurzakov, has approved the allocation of 824.9 million soums to the engineering company "Unified Customer Service" under the city administration's reserve fund. The funds are designated for the development of concepts for several projects following the visits of the President of Uzbekistan to the Shaykhantakhur and Chilanzar districts of the capital in May of last year.

The planned projects include the construction of irrigation systems, pedestrian and bicycle paths, and open parking lots as part of the "Tourist Ring" project in the Shaykhantakhur district, totaling 213.6 million soums. Additionally, an indoor swimming pool and sports complex on Uchlol Street in the Samarkand Darvoza neighborhood will receive 177 million soums for development.

Furthermore, the creation of micro-gardens and alleys in two districts to provide amenities and services to the population will be funded with 149 million soums. The reconstruction of a metal workshop in the Sarhumdon neighborhood will receive 138.7 million soums, while the development of project proposals for the reconstruction of the Chorsu and Eski Juva markets will be allocated 119.5 million soums.

Lastly, 27 million soums will be dedicated to developing project proposals to transform the Yangiobod neighborhood in the Shaykhantakhur district into a well-maintained area. These initiatives aim to enhance the infrastructure and quality of life in various areas of Tashkent, contributing to the overall development and improvement of the city.
