Four people were injured when falling from a ride at Bolajon Park in Surkhandarya on April 16, according to the State Committee of Industrial Safety. Photos show seats detached from the moving part of the attraction.

The press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan, Khayot Shamsutdinov, told "Gazeta.uz" that among the injured were two residents of Termez - 15-year-old Sh. S. and 27-year-old Z. O., as well as two citizens of Kazakhstan - 29-year-old O. K. with her 11-year-old daughter A. B.

All the injured were hospitalized with various injuries at the Surkhandarya branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care.

The park, located on Hakim At-Termiziy Street in the Tuprokkurgon neighborhood, belongs to the company Termiz Avenue Park.

Inspectors for mining, geological, and industrial safety identified several violations:

  • the ride did not undergo full technical certification tests before the season;

  • no document was issued regarding the ride's readiness for the season.

The Termez police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
