A festive march of military units of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan will take place along the main streets of Tashkent on April 20, as announced by the defense ministry's press service. The aim of the event is to "boost the country's pride in its defenders and instill patriotism among the youth," the statement noted.
The servicemen, accompanied by the sounds of an orchestra playing military songs, will follow a specific route: Armed Forces Academy (Mustakillik Street) - Amir Temur Square - Republican Specialized Scientific Practical Medical Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics (Temirjulchilar Street) - Central Eco Park of Tashkent (Mahtumkuli Street) - Central Park of Culture and Recreation, formerly known as Telman's Park (Hamidulla Aripov Street) - Armed Forces Academy.
At Amir Temur Square and the territory of the Traumatology and Orthopedics Research Institute, where the servicemen will make stops during the march, there will be military and orchestra demonstrations.
The procession will commence at 12:00 from the main gates of the Armed Forces Academy. The roads along the parade route will be closed for the duration of the event.
