Uzbekistan Sends Humanitarian Aid to Afghanistan Amidst Ongoing Crisis

Another batch of humanitarian aid from Uzbekistan set off from Termez to the province of Balkh in Afghanistan on April 25, as reported by the press service of the Surkhandarya region hokimiyat in Uzbekistan.

The cargo included 48 tons of flour, 48 tons of wheat, 15 tons of vegetable oil, over 10 thousand cans of meat (canned stew), 24 tons of sugar, 22 tons of pasta, and 100 thousand packages of instant noodles.

The handover ceremony took place on the same day on the premises of the company "Astras" in Hairaton, with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Erkin Khamraev, the hokim of Surkhandarya, Ulugbek Kosimov, the governor of Balkh province, Muhammad Yusuf Wafo, and other official representatives from both countries.

"Speaking at the event, the official representatives of Balkh province expressed gratitude to the President and the people of Uzbekistan for the assistance they provide during this challenging time," the hokimiyat's statement noted.
