New Head of Bukhara City Appointed: Kurbon Ibragimovich Tursunov Takes Charge

Kurbon Ibragimovich Tursunov has been appointed as the new head of the city of Bukhara, the press service of the regional administration reported. Prior to his appointment, he worked as the head of the Department of Operation and Development of Heating Systems at the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan.

In March 2021, Kurbon Tursunov was appointed as the acting deputy minister of Housing and Communal Services, having previously served as the head of the Bukhara Regional Housing and Communal Services Department. He replaced Jamol Nosirov in this position, who had been in office since May 2021. Nosirov resigned due to deteriorating health, according to the statement.
