During the III Tashkent International Investment Forum, the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, Ilhom Makhkamov, held a meeting with the head of Vision Invest company from Saudi Arabia, Omar al-Midani, as reported by the Ministry of Transport press service.
The meeting focused on discussing transportation infrastructure projects based on public-private partnerships and collaboration in this field.
Vision Invest expressed interest in reconstructing the Andijan international airport under the terms of a public-private partnership and subsequently managing it, the statement said.
As a result of the negotiations, a preliminary agreement was signed stipulating that the investor will conduct research and prepare project proposals within six months.
