At 10:41 on Monday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4 was recorded in the territory of Urgut district of Samarkand region, as reported by the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostics Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan.

The depth of the focus was 10 km. The distance to Tashkent is 263 km in the southwest direction.

In Urgut district, underground shocks were felt with a magnitude of 2-3, in Taylak, Bulungur, and Samarkand districts with a magnitude of 2, and in Kitab and Shakhrisabz districts of the neighboring Kashkadarya region also with a magnitude of 2.
