The international scientific conference "Ancient Culture of Anau," dedicated to proclaiming the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world, took place at the House of Culture in the Anau city of the Ak Bugday etrap of the Ahal province. The event was attended by historians, archaeologists, ethnographers, orientalists, professors, and young scholars, as well as museum representatives from the USA, Russian Federation, Germany, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and other countries.
Foreign guests were offered visits to the ancient fortress of Anau and the mosque of Seyit Jamaluddin. A special guest at the plenary session was Lisa Pampelli, the great-granddaughter of archaeologist Raphael Pampelli. The discoveries of the scientist served as the basis for further research into the culture of Ancient Anau.
