In Turkmenistan, celebrations were held to mark the 79th anniversary of the Great Victory. This was reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal".
Members of the Halk Maslahaty, leaders of military and law enforcement agencies, representatives of public organizations, honorary elders and mothers, representatives of labor collectives, as well as residents and guests of Ashgabat took part in the ceremony of laying flowers at the monuments on the territory of the memorial complex Halk hakydasy.
At the monument Milletiň ogullary, the participants paid tribute to those who died for their Motherland in the Geoktepe battle, at the memorial Baky şöhrat - to those who died in the Great Patriotic War, and at the monument Ruhy tagzym - to the victims of the Ashgabat earthquake. The State Anthem of Turkmenistan was played, and the Honor Guard platoon marched in a parade in front of the Memorial.
