Chinar Rustemova, the responsible secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, represented Turkmenistan at the 10th meeting of the UNESCO "Memory of the World" Committee for Asia and the Pacific in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. This was reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal".
The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Mongolia in collaboration with the National Commission of Mongolia for UNESCO. Participants of the meeting included representatives from 23 UNESCO member countries.
During the opening ceremony, Chinar Rustemova spoke about the work carried out in Turkmenistan over the past three years in implementing the UNESCO International Memory of the World Program.
The meeting also saw elections for the governing bodies of the MOWCAP program from the candidates proposed by the participating countries.
