The 18th SEEMOUS Mathematics Olympiad took place in Iasi, Romania, from April 9 to 14, 2024, involving students from universities in Southeast Europe, including participants from Turkmenistan. Organized by the Mathematical Society of Southeastern Europe, the "George Asachi" Technical University of Iasi, and the Romanian Mathematical Society, the intellectual competition saw the Turkmen team clinch one gold, two silver, and two bronze medals.
Medine Odaeva, a student from MUGNIR, secured the gold medal. Nurmyrat Atayev and Myratgeldi Annamukhammedov from the same university won silver medals, while Azymgeldi Gurbanov and Myrat Chashemov claimed bronze medals. Over 100 students from 27 universities across 9 countries participated in the Olympiad.
