The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) facilitated a seminar in Ashgabat focusing on the establishment of a business ombudsman institution in the country and the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of business entities. The news was reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal."
The event was attended by members of the Mejlis, representatives from the Ombudsman's Office, the Institute of State, Law, and Democracy, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, relevant ministries, and universities.
During the seminar, the participants discussed the experiences and development prospects of this mechanism, which is already operational in OSCE participating states. Practical examples of digitizing the system for protecting the rights of entrepreneurs were also presented.
One of the key topics of discussion was the support opportunities for women in entrepreneurship, highlighting the importance of empowering female entrepreneurs in the business landscape.
