From April 10 to 12, 2024, a representative of the Turkmenistan Mejlis participated in an international conference of parliamentarians on the planned implementation of activities related to the Population Fund and the International Conference on Population and Development (IPCI/ICPD) in Oslo, Norway. The news was reported by the online publication "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".
During the conference, participants exchanged views on reproductive health and the protection of maternal and child health. They also discussed the principles and methods of implementing women's rights and gender equality to achieve the country's Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
The Turkmen representative informed conference participants about the activities in the field of gender equality being carried out in Turkmenistan.
