On April 17, at the United Nations General Assembly hall, a High-Level Meeting on cooperation in the field of sustainable transport was convened at the initiative of Turkmenistan, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The event was attended by leaders of specialized international organizations, national ministries and agencies in the transport sector, as well as heads and representatives of diplomatic missions of UN member states.
During the Meeting, actions to implement the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport for 2026-2035 were discussed. Emphasis was placed on increasing investments in the transport sector, developing multimodal transport corridors, expanding access to modern forms of public transport, and other related issues.
