During a visit to Turkmenistan, a delegation from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) conducted a series of trainings as part of the "Support for the Establishment of a Digital Land Cadastre" project. The news was reported by the online publication "Vestiabad."
The seminars were attended by representatives of government agencies, including land surveyors and specialists in state land accounting and evaluation from ministry departments. FAO representatives also met with the leadership of the agricultural department and conducted field visits to the Ahal velayat.
Since the beginning of 2018, geolocation stations have been installed, geodetic surveys have been conducted using remote sensing equipment. The research results have formed the basis for the digital land cadastre of Turkmenistan. Doctor of Social Sciences from Georgia, David Egiashvili, shared insights on institutional methods for integrating different types of information.
