During the meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdymukhamedov instructed the Secretary of the Security Council and the Minister of Defense, Begench Gundogdyev, to organize solemn events in honor of Victory Day at a high organizational level. In accordance with the official document, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country instructed to ensure a high organizational level of the solemn events planned to be held on May 9 in Ashgabat and all regions of the country on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
Earlier, during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the Head of State ordered to present valuable commemorative gifts and monetary payments to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
