Vice Prime Minister N. Amannepesov reported on the results of activities in the fields of education, science, sports, and healthcare for January-April 2024 during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on May 3. The information was provided by the online publication "SNG.FM".
According to the report presented by Vice Prime Minister, Turkmen athletes have brought a total of 114 medals of various ranks to the country in the first four months of 2024, achieved at prestigious international competitions. Among these awards are 37 gold, 39 silver, and 38 bronze medals. The winners of international competitions were honored on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.
Efforts to develop physical culture and sports, the Olympic movement, and the preparation of national teams for the Olympic Games and international competitions continue in the country. In the healthcare sector, measures are being taken to construct diagnostic and treatment centers, hospitals, and sanatoriums, as well as to enhance the quality of medical services.
